Our Inpatient Women’s Oncology Unit Assistant is a very important administrative and customer service role. The Unit Assistant acts as a liaison between the patient and/or family and MSK staff to ensure timely and efficient provision of services during the patient’s stay. The Unit Assistant also ensures accurate and timely implementation of orders and coordination of services and responds to patient and family inquires in a professional manner, face-to-face and via phone. Confidence, critical thinking, the ability to multitask, prioritize and great customer service skills are essential in this role.
Hours : 8 Hour Evening Shift : 7:00am – 3:00p.m. Monday through Friday with weekend rotation required
This position is located at our Main Campus location at 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant clerical experience demonstrating usage of multitasking, prioritizing, decision making, providing
customer service, organizational and computer/data entry skills
- Preferred: Previous experience working within a healthcare organization as a Medical Secretary or similar role.
