Work with the shift manager to ensure the environmental services team consistently provides efficient and effective high-quality service
Direct activities of environmental services team in assigned area including orienting, training and evaluating the performance of staff
Supervise area operations and prioritize workflow to meet the needs of the department and ensure efficient and financially sound operations
Monitor and ensure compliance with departmental standards and regulatory requirements
Participate in operational performance improvement initiatives and engages in professional development activities
Ensure sufficient supplies are available to meet the needs of the department
Help the environmental services department achieve its vision of being a leader in its industry
Be actively engaged in facilitating the mission and vision of MSKCC and the Environmental Services Department.
Provide support to enable success for your direct reports and peers.
Associates Degree or Certified Vocational Training (CHESP)
Five (5) years of supervisory experience
Two (2) years of Environmental Service experience
Expert knowledge of Environmental Services Equipment Operation
Ability to stand, walk and/or continuously move around; ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry heavy objects (20lbs or more) without the aid of physical devices. Visual ability to monitor instructions and computers, distinguish characters (letters, numbers) observe physical characteristics.
