We seek an individual for Spanish nterpreting services for patients and visitors with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) throughout the continuum of care.
Provides interpreting services for LEP patients and visitors in a professional and ethical manner
Relays oral messages accurately and completely in one language into the equivalent of another language so that the interpreted message can elicit the same response as the original message.
Completes all required documentation and produces necessary reports.
Maintains accurate record for requests and provision of interpreting services as required by the Language Assistance Program.
Generates reports that reflect the current level of interpreting services activity as requested
Communicates and ensures compliance with quality standards and improvement initiatives.
Performs staff duties as needed in the department.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree Major: Languages preferred
Spanish language fluent
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 years Type of Experience: Interpreting for LEP persons in a healthcare setting preferred
Preferred Education (optional): Fluency in at least two foreign languages preferred
