We’re looking for a Research Project Coordinator to support the Dermatology Service Chief and the Head of the Genomics, Risk & Health Decision Making Laboratory within the Behavioral Sciences Service with various projects and interdepartmental initiatives, including but not limited to; clinical-based research program evaluation and expansion, data collection, qualitative and quantitative data analysis and presentation, literature reviews, recommendations, to disseminate information/ findings, and manage projects and project timelines. This position will liaise between clinical and research leadership both within and outside of the service.
Drs. Halpern and Hay are looking for someone with a Master’s level degree with an interest in Behavioral Science Research and with strengths in the following areas:
Qualitative interviewing (individual; focus groups).
Survey data collection (consenting, completing surveys with patients on paper/laptop in clinic).
REDCap database set-up; quality control; transfer to dataset for analysis.
Basic descriptive data analysis via SPSS, SAS, STATA, or other computer package; work with Dermatology Biostatistician and other team members on more complex data analyses.
Data analysis for qualitative data through ATLAS/ti, including working with coding teams to conduct qualitative analyses and summarize these analyses through narrative and tabular formats.
- Prepare abstract drafts, slide presentations, tables, and sections of manuscripts working along with the study team to disseminate findings.
