MSK is seeking aProject Coordinatorto join our amazing team. Under the direction of the Manager of Pathology Systems Operations, the project coordinator will assist in coordinating various aspects of the Pathology Information Systems projects. Initiates, supports and conducts analysis of issues, presents recommendations, disseminates information and manages projects and project timelines. Responds to inquiries and acts as liaison to internal contacts. Maintains thorough knowledge of each project’s status and notifies relevant personnel. Provides administrative support to the IT manager as needed.
Manage all logistical aspects of the assigned project(s) and manages multiple components of several projects simultaneously.
Collect, validate, and compiles information and materials for reports, budgets, and projects.
Research sources to gather requested or needed information. Uses knowledge of department, division, and/or the Center, and effective use of tools/resources to resolve questions.
Execute queries and run reports to meet ad hoc and standard data requests
Develop and deliver management information reports to the IT manager and if needed other managers.
Distribute materials and follow up on project reports and action plans and communicates all updates to the IT manager.
Work with Excel, Powerpoint, ad hoc reporting tools and web development tools to maintain intranet and Path IT teamshare site.
Run queries to retrieve data from Copath needed for meeting or project support documentation
Work with Path IT and stakeholders to establish timelines and format for project status submission
Act as a liaison between Path IT and the department to share information on relevant measures or projects
Coordinate and schedule meetings per IT manager
Coordinate the logistical aspects of recurring meetings, training sessions, system upgrades and go-lives, and other meetings.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Sciences, Liberal Arts, or any other relevant experience
2-4 years experience in IT (required)
Familiarity with electronic databases, data analytical software (FileMaker, Access, Excel, Word), and project coordination. Strong technical and communication skills.
