About You:

The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens via venipuncture and fingersticks for laboratory analysis on adult patients and obtains vital signs and documents findings on patient visit sheets and performs accessioning and clerical duties as needed. Our ideal candidate is an experienced Phlebotomist and has experience providing high-quality patient care in both direct and indirect capacities. We are seeking healthcare professionals who take extreme pride in their work, making patients feel reassured and well cared for through a warm and comforting demeanor, one who pays attention to detail and demonstrates strict adherence to best clinical practices. Confidence in phlebotomy skills, strong work ethic, understanding of customer service, and proficiency with computers and technology are all imperative traits our most competitive candidates will possess.

About the Role:

The phlebotomists at our outpatient clinics are an integral part of the clinical support staff, playing a vital role in the overall healthcare experience. The role requires a high level of accuracy, precision, and responsibility and offers a level of lab ownership that is centered around creating the best possible experience for our patients. A few of the core responsibilities are:

  • Collecting blood specimens using correct venipuncture or fingerstick technique as ordered by physicians for various laboratory analyses.

  • Performs preparatory steps required to collect samples. Assures proper labeling of specimen tubes after the blood collection procedure.

  • Enters required data into the computer system, Maintains complete, accurate, legible, neat and organized worksheets.

  • Contributes to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assures a clean, safe, and adequately supplied work areas.

Hours: 8 hours flexed between 7am-7pm, Monday – Friday

Minimum Experience: 1 year of full-time phlebotomy/venipuncture experience

Preferred Experience: 2-4 years of experience preferred

Minimum Education:

High School or G.E.D.

Certificate demonstrating completion of medical assistant or phlebotomy training program.

Preferred: National phlebotomy certification.
