Job Details:

The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse according to established policies and procedures. The Nursing Assistant performs activities necessary to provide for the personal needs, comfort and safety of patients and their families. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking Vital signs (i.e., blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation.)

  • Recording Intake and output.

  • Post mortem care.

  • Providing for patients’ personal hygiene needs (e.g., bathing, mouth care, peri-care, and skin care)

  • Ensuring patient has necessary supplies for daily hygiene needs (e.g., gown, towels, soap)

  • Change bed linen to ensure patients are clean and comfortable.

  • Ambulate, transfer, and turn and position patients as directed.

  • Encourages patients to perform exercises as directed.

  • Performs clerical and environmental duties in designated clinical areas as needed.

Shift: 7:00pm – 7:30am with weekend rotation required
