Job Details:

MSK is seeking a bilingual Sr. MSK Direct Care Advisor to join our team. The Sr. MSK Direct Care Advisor provides guided access to MSK for employees and family members of large, self-insured companies and other organizations with which we’ve partnered. They represent the MSK brand, making a positive first impression and shepherding patients through their first experiences at MSK.

You Will:

  • Serve as first point of contact for patients and caregivers affiliated with a MSK Direct partner organization

  • Convey the MSK brand, representing the singular and relentless commitment to defeating cancer, and the personal, direct, and caring partnership we establish with patients.

  • Actively guide patient expectations and appointment preparation, in order to maximize the likelihood that patient will opt to receive treatment at MSK, after completing that first consult.

  • Collect detailed clinical information from patient, their family member and/or physician to establish current clinical situation (diagnosis, testing and treatment to date) and assess the patient’s needs.

  • Screen cases, using established criteria and seeking input from their nurse colleagues as needed and referring to outside resources where appropriate.

  • Create (new patient) or access (established patient) record in Cadence to capture details of clinical history and status, and documents each interaction related to patient’s case.

  • Schedules appointments, and communicates details and expectations to patient or caregiver.

  • Assist with obtaining records, pathology, etc., delegating to external partners as appropriate.

  • Build strong patient relationships, gaining insight into customer needs, and identifies opportunities to benefit them.

  • Facilitates (or provides directly) a warm-welcome and wayfinding at a patient’s first MSK visit

  • Serves as an effective ambassador for MSK Direct within MSK, and in interactions with partner organizations.

  • Provide seamless coverage for colleagues, taking over their cases to prevent any lapse in forward progress for the patient.

You Need:

  • A High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 2-4 years experience

  • Demonstrated strength in making quality decisions, ensuring accountability, and both driving results independently and working collaboratively with colleagues.

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Second language proficiency strongly preferred:

  1. *Mandarin

  2. *Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, French, Russian, or other
