Job Details:

The Facilities Management Department at MSK is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support the team.

As an Inventory Control Specialist for Facilities Management , you will manage physical inventory and ensure data accuracy using our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/Infor) Inventory Module.

You will:

  • Work with the Inventory Controls Manager and Shop Managers to organize and track material.

  • Ensure the accuracy of physical and system material quantities and locations.

  • Research quantity discrepancies and justify system adjustments as necessary.

  • Identify material not yet inventoried but housed in storerooms throughout our facilities.

  • Assist Facilities department personnel with inventory processes, including desktop and mobile application guidance.

  • Capable of applying Inventory Control experience to our unique and challenging environment while participating in the implementation of new and creative ideas.

  • Familiar with how Inventory Control typically interacts with other Supply Chain Management entities.

  • Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.

  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.

  • Physically able to move containers, boxes, bags, bins and other material as required throughout the facility.

  • Able to provide written status reports reflecting your day-to-day assignments, accomplishments and challenges.

You need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory, Business, Computer Science or similar.

  • 2-4 years direct experience with Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, Logistics or similar. (Extensive position specific experience may be substituted for educational requirements.)

  • Experience with M/S applications including working knowledge of Excel and Word and the ability to produce Project and Visio documents as necessary.

  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems and applications specific to Facilities inventory management. Experience with INFOR CMMS is desired. Other Inventory or Enterprise Asset Management software experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with consumables, spare parts and tools typically used by Facilities departments.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and thoroughly understand and apply technical tools and business concepts as they relate to Inventory Control and related system entities.

  • Ability to train and demonstrate the Infor desktop and mobile applications to shop personnel.
