Job Description

We are:

The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Department of Medicine is looking to recruit aGME Coordinator IIthat will assist in all aspects of theMedical Student Elective Program. This is an exciting role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

You will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for student, faculty, and coordinator inquiries

  • Assist with managing the application (VSAS) and screening processes for all visiting students

  • Work with coordinators, students, and faculty to schedule students for electives, clerkships, and preceptorships

  • Oversee the onboarding for visiting students by hiring in iCIMS, updating information in Workday and New Innovations

  • Obtain clinical systems and security access for all students

  • Prepare packets for all incoming students and conduct monthly group orientations as needed

  • Manage the evaluation process and submit verification of completion for elective students

  • Respond to verification of training requests for GME trainees

  • Conduct orientation and check-ins for rotating physicians as needed

  • Office duties including general correspondence, providing back-up telephone coverage, and triaging incoming faxes

  • Perform QA check for files scanned into Datacap/Filenet

You have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Familiarity with hospital/health care environment and/or graduate education

  • Familiarity with software tools, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email/Calendars; ability to use social media and navigate internet/web

  • Experience with organizational/multi-tasking and administrative tasks, e.g., scheduling meetings, preparing expense reports, organizing information, maintaining confidentiality

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Experience working in a team environment#LI-POST
