The Communications Department at MSK is seeking a Designer to join their growing team. The Designer’s primary role is to design and produce print and digital work, while partnering with MSK staff across the institution to ensure that design direction, brand standards and project objectives are followed.
As the Designer, you will:
Work under the supervision of the Associate Art Director and Creative Director and will engage with photographers, illustrators, and animators to develop concepts and layouts.
Partner with the MSK Production Manager and external vendors to manage planning, production and printing.
Create brochures and booklets, online and print invitations, newsletters, presentations, web graphics and signage.
Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint or Keynote with high level presentation design skills; competency with Microsoft Word.
General familiarity with motion graphics is desirable, but not required.
An understanding of trends in typography, photography, illustration, color and design.
An ability to work in a team environment and adhere to design direction set by team leaders.
Bachelor’s Degree and 4-7 years design experience in identity development, print and digital marketing materials, photography, web graphics and presentations.
Versatility and strong skills in areas including digital photo manipulation, layout, interactive design.
Demonstrated ability to explore directions, meet objectives, and plan and produce finished work.
Strong interpersonal skills (open, communicative, friendly and supportive attitude).#LI-POST
