As a Cytotechnologist you will:
Microscopically examine preparations for cytologic evaluation, correlating clinical information with morphologic findings to make a final diagnosis on negative gynecologic slides and render a microscopic assessment on abnormal gynecologic and all non-gynecologic specimens pending final diagnosis by a pathologist.
Collaborate with the customers of the laboratory to promote customer satisfaction.
Participate in laboratory performance improvement activities.
Provide specimen adequacy assessment for busy, high volume FNA service.
Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences or related field and graduation from CAAHEP accredited cytotechnology training program. CT(ASCP) certified or eligible required
Experience with Thin Prep Imaging System preferred
New York State Department of Education Cytotechnologist license required.
NY State Dept of Health Cytotechnologist Registration required.
Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills.
