We are a nationally recognized leader in Oncology Rehabilitation. At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, we offer Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation services to our patients being treated at MSK. Comprehensive rehabilitation services are available throughout an individual’s continuum of care from treatment to survivorship.

Our exceptional team of rehabilitation experts include physiatrists, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation assistants who collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to improve our patients’ well-being. Our therapy team has extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of cancer rehabilitation and has been recognized both nationally and internationally. In addition, our extensive line of clinical care includes specialty areas in pediatrics, lymphedema, pelvic floor therapy, and vestibular rehabilitation. MSK Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing exceptional patient and family experiences and support throughout their care continuum.

You will:

  • Partner and assist the Director of Rehabilitation on physical and occupational therapy compliance, regulatory, and educational endeavors, policies and procedures.

  • Understand, uphold, and implement institutional policies, third party payor contracts, and federal and state regulations such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services (CMS), New York Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.

  • Establish and maintain processes, education, and training to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements related to physical and occupational therapy services.

  • Oversee and manage programs pertaining to staff/patient education, PT Oncology Residency Program, and clinical student affiliation programs and related contracts.

  • Oversee quality improvement and special projects including clinical program development, achievement of set benchmarks and metrics.

  • Represent Rehabilitation Therapy interests in this forward-facing role through participation in organization-wide committees and presentations.

  • Travel to MSK Rehabilitation sites as needed to collaborate, educate, and inservice staff.

You have:

  • Qualified candidates should be a NYS licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist.

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred; Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required OR Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.

  • 4-7 years’ experience in acute care and/or outpatient experience required, oncology experience preferred with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required

  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 hour days.
