Job Description

Our Clinical Research Administration (CRA) Education and Outreach team is looking for a Trainer to help manage our growing portfolio of offerings. As the Clinical Research Trainer, you will design and deliver a comprehensive clinical research educational program for new and established employees of the Center. We are seeking an energetic individual with effective communication, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

You Will:

  • Serve at the primary facilitator for CR trainings.

  • Deliver CRA-sponsored training in a logical and engaging manner appropriate to the audience (e.g., clerical and management staff, nurses, physicians) and subject matter.

  • Collaborate with Unit and CRA leadership in the design and development of CR concepts and role-based training courses and programs.

  • Provide input for training activities for management to review and budget.

  • Plan, organize, develop and direct a wide range of training activities including classroom training; electronic learning; and other computer-aided instructional technologies, conferences and workshops.

  • Facilitate the deployment of training using a variety of training and facilitation techniques including online training tools, electronic multimedia, lecture, small groups, and on-on-one counseling.

  • Manage a variety of training projects.

  • Identify and develop new strategies to effectively train staff.

  • Develops and updates CR education tools and course materials to ensure that the appropriate and most effective methodology is used and is compliant

  • Ensures that all educational materials are produced, proofread and ready for CRA training programs.

  • Collaborates with the Education and Outreach team to schedule all MSK-wide CR educational courses for CR staff.

  • Works with Education and Outreach team members to develop timelines for training programs.

  • Discusses program/project status updates with Unit and Training Manager, to ensure goals are being met and to determine possible areas for improvement.

  • Assesses quantitatively and qualitatively the impact and effectiveness of the institutional clinical research training courses

You Are:

  • Familiar and knowledgable with clinical research and its practices

  • Comfortable with public speaking and leading a classroom

  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.

  • Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years or relevant experience training, mentorship, or clinical research or the equivalence (Internal Clinical Research Staff are strongly encouraged to apply)

  • Strong Powerpoint and Excel skills

  • Excellent judgment, resourcefulness, efficiency, and creativity.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and oncology concepts strongly preferred.
