In the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), observation care is a well-defined set of specific, clinically appropriate services, which include ongoing short term treatment, assessment, and reassessment, that are furnished while a decision is being made regarding whether patients will require further treatment as hospital inpatients or if they are able to be discharged from the hospital.
An experienced clinical nurse with experience in Critical Care or Med/Surg.
A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization.
Actively seeking new ways to grow.

Willing to take action and eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our CDU.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.
Provide exceptional patient centered care to our patients and unregistered patients.
Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.
Current NYS RN license/registration
Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN)
A minimum of 1.5 years of clinical medical/surgical experience preferred.
Critical care and/or medical oncology experience highly preferred
May consider New Grad RNs with a preceptorship or externship in a critical care area.
- 7:30pm-8:00am with weekend rotation required.
