MSK is seeking a CLINICAL INFORMATION PROCESSOR for their Release of Information Unit.
Analyze requests for release of medical information from patients, third party payers, physicians, attorneys and health related institutions.
Prioritize and fulfills requests in accordance with legal and institutional requirements.
Review the electronic medical record to determine the appropriate medical information required to fulfill the request.
Provide information regarding Memorial’s policy on the release of medical information to patients, attorneys and third party administrators.
Be available to work Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Customer service experience and the ability to handle sensitive interactions and maintain strict confidentiality of medical information.
Ability to organize, analyze and effectively resolve routine and problematic accounts within established timeframes.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
Ability to effectively handle diverse tasks.
Overall knowledge of the Electronic Medical Record.
Must be flexible and willing to re-prioritize assignments if needed to meet departmental goals.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
High School Diploma with 2-4 years experience in health care.
