Reporting directly to the Department of Medicine Senior Director, the Associate Director will lead the fiscal management functions and departmental operations groups and functions within the department.

Collaborate with the Chairman and Senior Director in the design, coordination, and implementation of distributed cross-divisional resources
Lead managers and staff to ensure seamless and critical ongoing department -wide operations including financial management, planning, and analysis, project leadership and management, facilities and information technology operations and management, graduate medical education programs, and academic support.
Lead a team of 6-20 direct reports, and 11-49 indirect reports
Provide leadership and direction to a cross-functional team, cultivating and fostering an empowered and engaged workforce.
Ensure collaboration to influence, design, develop and implement strategies that impact the efficiency of the department and departmental operations functions while translating initiatives for budgets and financial planning purposes.
Provide consultation and participates in decision making that influences departmental strategic priorities and vision.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamlined processes and provide better service across the department.
A bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years experience in a leadership role within a large academic or clinical practice including financial management OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 10+ years experience in a leadership role, as defined above.
MHA, MPA, MSN, or MBA is a plus
Strong analytic skills and experience developing budgets
High level proficiency in MS Office Suite products, especially MS Excel
