Job Details:

Reporting directly to the Department of Medicine Senior Director, the Associate Director will lead the fiscal management functions and departmental operations groups and functions within the department.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the Chairman and Senior Director in the design, coordination, and implementation of distributed cross-divisional resources

  • Lead managers and staff to ensure seamless and critical ongoing department -wide operations including financial management, planning, and analysis, project leadership and management, facilities and information technology operations and management, graduate medical education programs, and academic support.

  • Lead a team of 6-20 direct reports, and 11-49 indirect reports

  • Provide leadership and direction to a cross-functional team, cultivating and fostering an empowered and engaged workforce.

  • Ensure collaboration to influence, design, develop and implement strategies that impact the efficiency of the department and departmental operations functions while translating initiatives for budgets and financial planning purposes.

  • Provide consultation and participates in decision making that influences departmental strategic priorities and vision.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamlined processes and provide better service across the department.

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years experience in a leadership role within a large academic or clinical practice including financial management OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 10+ years experience in a leadership role, as defined above.

  • MHA, MPA, MSN, or MBA is a plus

  • Strong analytic skills and experience developing budgets

  • High level proficiency in MS Office Suite products, especially MS Excel
