Job Description

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks anAssistant Manager, Rehabilitationat its new state-of-the-art cancer treatment center in Manhattan’s Upper East Side (74th St - David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care). This facility offers the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care delivered by MSK oncologists, in an environment designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families.

MSK is seeking to hire alicensed Physical Therapist (PT)to join our outstanding team in anAssistant Managerrole at our brand new facility inManhattan. Physical therapy experience in an adult outpatient setting is desired. Lymphedema certification and/or experience treating lymphedema preferred. Inpatient acute care experience beneficial. Our highly talented team assists patients throughout their continuum of care focusing on improved quality of life, overall function and independent management as needed. We are looking for an individual passionate about patient-centered treatment, teamwork, and best practice which results in an exceptional patient experience. Demonstrated customer focus, resourcefulness in planning, effective team building, and strong adaptability are key qualities needed for this dynamic leadership role.You will:• Partner and assist the Rehabilitation Manager to ensure clinical and operational services function efficiently.• Provide leadership through orientation, mentorship, and guidance to the PT/OT team on-site.• Effectively build strong team and customer relationships.• Successfully manage ambiguous and complex situations.• Engage in projects and activities that support and advance institutional and departmental mission and goals.• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including the patient and their family, to ensure the highest level of clinical services are provided and experienced throughout the entire episode of care.• Provide highly skilled physical therapy including lymphedema services to adult patients in an oncology setting utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to maximize patient outcomes.

You have:• New York State licensure as a Physical Therapist required.• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (tDPT or DPT) preferred.• Minimum of 5 years clinical practice as a licensed PT required.• Minimum of 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.• Experience with oncology population preferred.• Outpatient setting clinical experience strongly preferred.• Lymphedema clinical experience strongly preferred.• Inpatient acute care setting clinical experience beneficial.

Hours vary between 7:30a to 7p, Monday-Sunday (subject to change).
