MSK is seeking an Advanced Application Analyst to join our amazing team. In this role, the Application Analyst will be responsible for analysis, evaluation of software features and functions, implementations, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation and on-going support of assigned applications. In addition, you will coordinate all information technology related activities between end user departments and corresponding IS groups.
You will also:
Interpret and evaluate client informational needs, gather and analyze relevant data and develop these into appropriately detailed system workflows or new application requirements
Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement business requirements
Develop detailed system and program specifications, including data conversion, interfaces, and custom reporting to ensure business requirements are met
Provide input for production related issues
Utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement and functional specifications
Configure application setup to optimize end-user workflow and system capabilities
Identify, understand and communicate configuration options within core system processes to end users to facilitate full system capability utilization
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential problem areas in IT systems across the organization
Collaborate with business owners to translate system functionality and configuration to business process requirements
Coordinate and perform tests, including system, integration, and customer acceptance, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
Able to work effectively in an environment notable for complex, sometimes contradictory information
Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
4-7 years professional experience
Experience with business owners in a clinical setting preferred
Database query skills helpful
Knowledge of HL7 interfaces required
Off-hours support required
