We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for the Pulmonary Service.
Collaborate with designated physicians and other healthcare team members to provide consultative care to an assigned caseload of patients with pulmonary issues as part of the Pulmonary Service inpatient consultation team
Perform both shared new consultation visits and independent follow up consultation visit as well as perform or assist with performing thoracic ultrasound examinations and thoracenteses.
Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple stakeholders

An effective communicator
Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people
Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate areGraduate from an accredited PA programNCCPA certificationActive NYS license or be qualified for state licensureA minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred
Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrationsMaster’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)3+ years of related clinical experienceRelated National NP certification
Hours:10 hour days flexed with weekend and holiday rotation required.
