As a Chemotherapy Infusion Nurse at MSK, your role is always patient-centered. You will work directly with patients throughout the entire treatment process. As a core member of the team, you will collaborate with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Each day, you will administer chemotherapeutic treatments, clinically monitor patients, assess and report patients’ symptoms, provide patient and family support and ensure patient safety.
In this important role, you will contribute to the advancement of evidence-based oncology care by advocating for patient safety, providing nursing assessments to patients, and patient and family education.
Manage a select caseload of patients receiving chemotherapy/biotherapy/immunotherapy on an outpatient basis
Administer various therapies, perform patient assessments, provide symptom management and patient and family education
Act as part of a multidisciplinary team provides continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up
Participate in the implementation of clinical support programs and quality assurance activities to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
New Jersey Nursing Certification
2 years of related chemotherapy/biotherapy/immunotherapy experience required
Chemotherapy certification highly preferred
Outpatient Oncology experience highly preferred
10 hour or 12 hour shifts flexed 7:30a – 7:30p Monday – Friday. Weekend hours and occasional float to Basking Ridge may be required based on the needs of MSK
