You are:

  • Comfortable working on detailed, data focused projects

  • Experienced in working in a fast paced, deadline sensitive environment

  • Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances

  • Proactive in your approach to the work day and able to anticipate the workday pipeline.

You Will:

  • Perform and maintains competency in the technical and related work of the Hematology Laboratory. – – -Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York Department of Health, OSHA, and CLIA regulations.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters. Assures compliance with MSKCC P&P’s, and regulatory agency requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the quality assurance plan, oversees daily operations and promotes a safe environment.

  • Oversee Annually reviews and revises site specific P& P’s in collaboration with the MSKCC Laboratory, the Laboratory Director and the Laboratory manager.

You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science required. ASCP preferred.

  • Also requires 6 years minimum experience in laboratory medicine.

  • Knowledge of laboratory policy and procedures and regulations.

  • Excellent phlebotomy, computer, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and work with others as well as independently
