Our state-of-the-art clinical laboratories provide sophisticated technology and automated equipment that allow our teams to get to answers faster and more efficiently, with a strong emphasis on applied and translational research. We are committed to the growth and advancement of the department, and fully support the active collaboration of scientists, clinicians and industry experts to develop next-generation laboratory methods. We are currently seeking an experience Laboratory Technologist to work part-time at our Basking Ridge location.
Perform and maintain competency in the technical and related work of the Hematology Laboratory.
Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New Jersey Department of Health, OSHA, and CLIA regulations.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters.
Assure compliance with MSKCC P&P’s, and regulatory agency requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor the quality assurance plan, oversee daily operations and promote a safe environment.
Annually review and revise site specific P& P’s in collaboration with the MSKCC Laboratory, the Laboratory Director and the Laboratory manager.
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science with 6 years minimum experience in laboratory medicine. ASCP preferred.
Knowledge of laboratory policy and procedures and regulations.
Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem solve and work with others as well as independently.
- 20 hours per week, days/hours flexible during operational hours of 7 am – 8 pm
