MSK recognizes the importance of preparing the organization and its employees for the future. The Learning & Organization Development Department has a Talent Development consultant opportunity that will be instrumental in our organization’s future success. This role presents unique opportunities to have an impact on the development of healthcare providers at the forefront of the battle against cancer. You Will:

  • Provide leadership for new and existing talent development programs; Drive initiatives forward while resolving issues with project sponsors, key stakeholders, and team members; Identify and manage goals, scope, and administration of ongoing strategic, cross-functional, organization-wide projects.

  • Execute programs in a logical and engaging manner appropriate to the audience and subject matter; Respond to participants’ and groups’ needs, promote participation, and establish relationships across a broad range of people and groups; Adapt style and content based on the needs of the group and unexpected situations in order to achieve client and program goals.

  • Apply best practice design principles, adult learning, and organization development theories; Evaluate multiple design options, balancing utilization of existing solutions with introduction of more creative and innovative solutions.

  • Communicate in a credible and influential manner, working with clients to identify underlying issues and build powerful solutions; Facilitate discussions using principles of group dynamics theory.

  • Promote self-awareness, learning, and individual development of individuals at multiple levels by creating an open environment, and probing deeply and meaningfully;

  • Use quantitative and/or qualitative data to assess the impact of solutions against client goals; Plan for, collect; Analyze data to measure how well solutions are received, change behaviors, improve performance, and impact the organization; Organize data and communicate results to key stakeholders; Develop recommendations for program improvement.

  • Represent MSK in the external Human Resources/Learning and Organization Development community; Build partnerships to improve upon effectiveness of work; Contribute to reputation of the division and MSK, as well as to the knowledge of the field, by presenting at conferences, serving on committees, teaching classes, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four (4+) years of progressive experience in organization development/change management/leadership development

  • Master’s degree in Organization Psychology/Development/Leadership, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related discipline.
