Job Details:

The Security Supervisor will manage the supervision and operation of the security staff in protecting the life and property of MSKCC’s patients, visitors, and staff. Conduct investigations of certain incidents and reviews incident reports prepared. Respond to emergency incidents and directs Security Officers in rendering necessary assistance.

Required Skills:

  • Three yrs Supervisory experience in law enforcement or 5yrs experience as a Security Officer in Security.

  • Prepare daily post schedules.

  • Inspect Post assignments for adherence to Center policy and the performance of duties and responsibilities.

  • Manage annual training of guard staff.

  • Coordinate Property Removal Procedure.

  • New York State Security Guard License.

  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness concepts. Knowledge of advanced security concepts and procedures.

  • Knowledge of basic Fire Prevention concepts.

Preferred Skills/Education/Certification:

  • Three years experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility.

  • Basic knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel) Knowledge of Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV operation).

  • Associates Degree

  • Fire Safety Director Certification
