The mission of the Cardio-Oncology Program (CORP) at MSK is to reduce morbidity and premature mortality in cancer patients through the integration of the program’s objectives as an integral component of all aspects of cancer management and survivorship through the following activities:
Research: Support exercise-oncology research that spans basic, clinical, and population science research to develop an unrivaled, multidisciplinary translational program to improve the health and longevity of cancer patients.
Clinical Care: The exercise oncology program has potential application to patients across all stages of the cancer continuum.
Education & Training: Provide education and training to junior investigators and clinician scientists (both oncology and cardiology), rehabilitation medicine professionals, radiologists, and other health professionals at various stages of their career in the area of exercise-oncology.
As an integral member of the CORP team and in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements, you will :
Perform rest and stress echocardiograms, vascular, and muscle assessments; enter all measurement; perform special protocols; data collection, data entry and analysis for research projects, as needed.
Prepare all work necessary to perform accurate and quality exams.
Monitor patient flow; facilitate efficient scheduling of patients.
Produce accurate records and logs.
Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment and perform quality control checks as assigned.
An Associate’s Degree/Certified Vocational Training.
At least one year of related Echocardiogram experience.
An interest in research.
RDCS or RCS required.
BCLS certification required.
Ultrasound instrumentation and anatomy/physiology knowledge.
Basic computer skills.
A demonstrated commitment to quality.
Hours vary between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with flexibility as needed.
