The Cell Marker Laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist who will provide technical expertise/guidance and overall technical assistance within the Cell Marker Laboratory .
This position is for an experienced laboratory technologist who is proficient in flow cytometric testing and assay/instrument validation. We are looking for someone to participates in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Assists laboratory management to set-up new instrumentation, as well as to establish and optimize operational protocols. We are also looking for this person to assist laboratory management to design and set-up new assays, to choose analytical methods, as well as to establish and optimize operational protocols.

Perform and maintain competency in the technical and related work of the laboratory
Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations
Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters
Assure compliance with MSKCC P&Ps, and regulatory agency requirements
Annually review and revise site specific P&Ps in collaboration with the MSK Laboratory, the laboratory director, and the laboratory manger
Assumes technical responsibilities in assigned area or with assigned equipment/assay.
Performs more complex procedures.
Keeps knowledge current.
Assures compliance with new/applicable regulations.
Participates in advanced training.
Assists in various QMS, LIS, Education, and Technical Assay/Instrumentation responsibilities, as assigned.
Work Monday – Friday, days and hours vary
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Sciences
Experience in flow cytometry
Meeting the requirements for the New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure
6+ years of relevant work experience.#LI-GS1
