The Cell Marker Laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist who will provide technical expertise/guidance and overall technical assistance within the Cell Marker Laboratory .

This position is for an experienced laboratory technologist who is proficient in flow cytometric testing and assay/instrument validation. We are looking for someone to participates in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Assists laboratory management to set-up new instrumentation, as well as to establish and optimize operational protocols. We are also looking for this person to assist laboratory management to design and set-up new assays, to choose analytical methods, as well as to establish and optimize operational protocols.

You Will:

  • Perform and maintain competency in the technical and related work of the laboratory

  • Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters

  • Assure compliance with MSKCC P&Ps, and regulatory agency requirements

  • Annually review and revise site specific P&Ps in collaboration with the MSK Laboratory, the laboratory director, and the laboratory manger

  • Assumes technical responsibilities in assigned area or with assigned equipment/assay.

  • Performs more complex procedures.

  • Keeps knowledge current.

  • Assures compliance with new/applicable regulations.

  • Participates in advanced training.

  • Assists in various QMS, LIS, Education, and Technical Assay/Instrumentation responsibilities, as assigned.

  • Work Monday – Friday, days and hours vary

You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Sciences

  • Experience in flow cytometry

  • Meeting the requirements for the New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.#LI-GS1
