Job Details:

The Computing Resource Group, in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, is a team of IT professionals who comprise a centralized resource focusing on the informatics requirements of both Memorial Sloan Kettering’s clinical research program and the faculty and staff of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Memorial Sloan Kettering’s clinical research program is supported by the Clinical Research Database (CRDB), an institutional resource developed in-house by the Computing Resource Group, which also architects, develops and maintains the underlying system interfaces, multi-tiered web applications and database platform. The CRDB supports all Memorial Sloan Kettering’s clinical research protocols and a large number of research data repositories. This also includes implementations of specimen banking and a tracking system to facilitate multiple research laboratories. The CRG is currently focusing on enhancing the web interface and database implementations for greater flexibility and efficiency. Within the department, the CRG also operates a Linux computation cluster used solely by departmental faculty and staff engaged in projects with extensive computation requirements.

You Will:

  • Responsible for the web application developments on J2EE platform

  • Participate in all phases of the development life cycle for the institutional Clinical Research Database (CRDB) and related project.

  • Requires an ability to work on multiple projects and responsibilities for programming in Oracle Forms/Reports and JDeveloper.

  • Support new applications and ensure the successful operation of existing applications.

  • Hours are Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM. Flexibility is required

You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 5 years of experience. Master’s degree in Computer Science with 2 years of experience

  • Experience programming in C/C++, J2EE, Web Services, SQL and their development technologies

  • In-depth knowledge of relational database theory and practice
