The Department of Pathology is seeking an Administrative Operations Manager to plan and manage the technical and administrative activities for the Molecular Diagnostics Service , in order to ensure the efficient and effective operations and quality of services.
As Administrative Operations Manager you will:
Work in collaboration with the Service Chief, Deputy Service Chief, Chairman and Administrator to lead new initiatives and projects
Guide and manage the functions and activities of the employees (both technical and administrative) for the Molecular Diagnostics Service
Conduct ongoing analysis of the laboratory operations and initiates changes that demonstrate increased efficiency, cost effectiveness, and improved customer service
Participate in service space planning and resource allocation planning
Prepare and maintain the annual operating, capital equipment, and research budgets for the service
Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) plus 5 years experience as a supervisor or manager. At least 2-3 years technical or administrative experience in a molecular diagnostics laboratory environment preferred.
Must demonstrate experience with project management, as well as good communication and conflict resolution skills.
Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
