Job Details:

We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator ( Supervisor) for the Department of Pathology.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead and oversee employees in the academic physician practices to ensure job duties are being completed accurately, thoroughly and within specified time frames.

  • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.

  • Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, training, vacations and time off.

  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Provide effective ongoing performance feedback through employee recognition and take appropriate action to address performance gaps.

  • Develop and foster relationships with multiple counterparts including clinicians, staff, and peers across the organization.

  • Appropriately communicate information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and email or regular interpersonal communication.

  • Accomplish desired results in a manner that maximizes the use of time and resources.

  • Start and follow through on new projects/assignments; accepts new projects and works diligently to complete them. Respond to new demands, priorities, and challenges/ obstacles. Persevere in the face of obstacles and challenges (whether unexpected or anticipated).

  • Demonstrate adaptability to support daily operations and provide cross-coverage.


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience (full time employees in a high volume capacity), in a healthcare setting, or 2 years of experience in a non-healthcare setting.

  • Strong communication, both written and verbal. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Flexibility with work hours is required#LI-GS1
