MSK is seeking a Sr. Bladelogic Server Automation Engineer to provide expert level engineering and operational support for BMC Bladelogic Server Automation. BSA Administrator should have ability to support BSA in large enterprise class environment with 1500+ servers. Candidate must ensure the availability and performance of the BSA infrastructure. Candidate must be capable to work on multiple projects at a time. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Windows server and virtualization technology. He/She must possess knowledge in HP and Cisco UCS servers in terms of server provisioning. Candidate must be adept at handling multiple projects and tasks as well as tailoring communications to suit the intended audience.
Subject Matter Expert and escalation for BMC Bladelogic Server Automation.
Manages 1500+ Windows server infrastructure using BMC Blade Logic Server Automation.
Regular review of the BSA infrastructure and ensure the availability and performance of the infrastructure.
Configuration, administration and troubleshooting of BladeLogic app server.
Physical and virtual server provisioning using BSA.
Windows update scheduling and deployment using BSA.
Configure compliance audits, execute audit jobs and provide reports.
Implement remediation methodology for audit failures.
Responsible for RBAC administration, BDSSA reporting. Generate and produce BSA reports such as job status, inventory etc. to management as required.
Design BSA/BDSSA reporting dashboard.
Design BLPackages, create jobs and execute jobs.
Configuring and administering BMC Atrium Orchestration and other BMC tools integration with BSA.
Writing NSH and Windows script to automate execution through BSA.
Provide support and consultation for Windows Server (2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2) as well as VMWare virtualization.
Implement BSA enhancement to improve reliability and security of the systems.
Modify existing processes or create new as required.
Author new and / or update existing documentation for BSA to maintain accuracy.
Provide 24×7 supports.
Work with the Infrastructure and Applications Services teams to strategize and evaluate new options for server management and continual process improvement.
Qualified candidates must possess the following skills/experience:
7+ years as a BSA Administrator. BSA certification is a plus.
5+ years experience with Windows Server (2003, 2008 R2, 2012 R2) technology.
7+ years of experience in fast-paced high-availability production environments.
Familiarity working with Linux Operating System.
Experience working with current and older HP Proliant & c-Class Blade servers.
Experience in general Windows Server build, administration, security and troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows Scripting Technology such as PowerShell, WMI and Batch as well as BSA NSH scripting.
Experience with TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
Experience with networking services such as DNS, WINS, DHCP, and FTP etc.
